SIP calculator for monthly investments in India

Use this calculator to estimate how a regular monthly SIP may grow over time. You can test common monthly contributions such as ₹5,000, ₹10,000, ₹15,000 or ₹20,000, choose an illustrative annual return, and optionally model an annual SIP step-up.

For example, a ₹10,000 monthly SIP over 10 years means ₹12,00,000 of total contributions before considering investment growth. Under this calculator's illustrative 12% annual-return assumption and beginning-of-month contribution convention, the estimated future value is about ₹23.23 lakh. Actual investment returns will vary and are not guaranteed.

What is a SIP?

A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is a way to invest a fixed amount at regular intervals, commonly into a mutual fund. The SIP itself is not a guaranteed-return product; the result depends on the performance of the underlying investment.

How this SIP estimate works

This calculator adds the modeled SIP contribution at the beginning of each month and applies the entered annual return as a monthly growth assumption. If an annual step-up is entered, the monthly SIP increases after every 12 contributions.

Why the result is only an estimate

Actual investment returns vary over time and can be negative. Real investments can also be affected by fund expenses, taxes, exit loads, contribution timing, market volatility and other factors that are not modeled here.

Common SIP questions

How is SIP future value calculated?

This calculator models each monthly SIP contribution at the beginning of the month and then applies the entered annual return as monthly growth periods.

What will a ₹10,000 monthly SIP grow to in 10 years?

It depends on the return assumption. Using this calculator's illustrative 12% annual return, ₹10,000 per month for 10 years is estimated at about ₹23.23 lakh under the stated contribution-timing assumption. This is an illustration, not a guaranteed outcome.

What is a step-up SIP?

A step-up SIP increases the modeled monthly contribution over time. Here, the chosen percentage increase is applied after every 12 monthly contributions.

Is the expected annual return guaranteed?

No. The entered return is only an assumption used for illustration. Actual market-linked returns vary over time and can be negative.

Does this calculator include taxes or fund charges?

No. Fund expenses, taxes, exit loads, transaction-timing differences, and actual market volatility are not modeled.
